1. Scope
This policy explains how Hiveona Games (“Hiveona,” “we,” “us”) handles information when you play Breakfront or visit its website. It applies to the current Breakfront development build for PC and Android.
2. Information handled by Breakfront
Information stored locally
Breakfront stores your display name, settings, control preferences, progression, match history, virtual currency balances, unlocked champions, and cosmetic inventory on your device. This data is not tied to a Hiveona account and is not synchronized to our servers.
Information used during multiplayer
When you host or join a match, the game processes your chosen display name, profile cosmetics, selected champion and loadout, gameplay inputs and events, scores, and connection information such as IP address and network port. This information is required to discover, establish, and operate the peer-hosted game session.
Analytics information on Android
The Android version uses Google Analytics for Firebase. By default, Firebase may automatically collect a pseudonymous app-instance or installation identifier, the Android advertising identifier, a masked IP address used to derive country or approximate region, app interactions, session and engagement information, app and SDK versions, device model and brand, device category, operating-system version, language, and app-store or installer information. Hiveona does not use this information to show ads.
Breakfront also sends gameplay events for the local player. These can include connection method and result; selected champion; game mode and map; whether the player hosted; player, human, and bot counts; input type; match duration, result, scores, kills, deaths, and exit reason; and per-match weapon and ability summaries. Weapon summaries may include weapon identifier, shots, hits, headshots, damage, kills, and time equipped. Ability summaries include the ability identifier and number of uses.
Information we do not collect through the current build
Breakfront has no Hiveona account registration, advertising SDK, voice chat, or live real-money purchase system. Breakfront does not include your display name, multiplayer IP address or network port, server or room name, internal match token, contacts, photos, camera or microphone data, or precise location in its custom Firebase Analytics events. Firebase may separately process a connection IP address to derive country or approximate region as described above.
3. Analytics provider
Google LLC provides Google Analytics for Firebase and processes analytics information for us. Google explains Firebase privacy and data processing in its Privacy and Security in Firebase documentation and explains its own practices in the Google Privacy Policy. Firebase Analytics data is encrypted in transit.
4. How information is used
Information is used to save your preferences and progress, show your player identity, connect you to multiplayer sessions, synchronize gameplay, calculate match results and rewards, and protect the integrity of a match. Analytics is used to understand feature and champion usage, weapon and ability balance, match completion and outcomes, connection reliability, performance across app and device versions, and how we can improve Breakfront.
5. Multiplayer and network visibility
Breakfront currently uses peer-hosted networking. The person hosting a match operates the game server for that session. A host can necessarily receive participating players’ IP addresses and game-session data; other players can see display names, profile cosmetics, team, champion, loadout, scores, and match actions.
Local-network discovery broadcasts basic room details—including room name, map, mode, player count, and network address—to devices on the same local network. Direct Join sends connection traffic to the address you enter. Do not use a real name as your display name if you do not want it shown to other players.
7. Storage, retention, and security
Local game data remains on your device until you clear the app’s data, uninstall the game, or remove the relevant local files. Peer-hosted match data is generally held only for the active session. Analytics information is retained according to our configured Google Analytics for Firebase retention settings and Google’s applicable policies, and may be retained longer in aggregated or de-identified form. We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law.
Firebase Analytics data is encrypted in transit. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no network transmission or storage method is completely secure.
8. Children
Breakfront is intended for users aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the current build. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review the matter.
9. Your choices and rights
You can change your display name and settings in the game. You can remove locally stored data through your operating system’s app-data controls or by uninstalling the game, which also stops future analytics collection from that installation. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of personal information.
You may contact us to exercise an applicable privacy right. Because Breakfront does not send an account identifier or display name to Firebase Analytics, we may be unable to associate a particular analytics record with you.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when Breakfront’s features or legal obligations change. We will revise the date at the top of this page and provide any additional notice required by law.
